Welcome! I bring a mix of Musical Theatre and Pop/R&B to everything I do—as a performer, teacher, and music director. I’ve been lucky to work in cities like Chicago, Des Moines, and Denver, collaborating with talented artists and bringing dynamic productions to life. About
I’m Michael X. (he/him), a Denver-based performer with roots in Chicago and Des Moines. I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago, where I deepened my love for storytelling through music—onstage, behind the piano, and in the room with other artists.Some favorite performance credits include High Fidelity and RENT, along with solo performance and cabaret work in venues across Chicago and Des Moines. I’ve also appeared at the Des Moines Civic Center and the Den Theatre, and I’m especially drawn to work that lives at the intersection of intimacy, musicianship, and honest storytelling.I also work as a music director and vocal coach, collaborating with performers to find clarity, confidence, and ease in their singing—but at heart, I’m always chasing the next great moment onstage.
